Influenced by the Streamline Moderne style of the 1930s, the “Bolidismo” design trend was introduced by a group of young graduates from the faculty of Architecture of the University of Florence in the mid-1980s. Inspired by this artistic and cultural movement, the Torpedo Collection has every right to be considered part of the Italian design tradition, more specifically the Florentine tradition. The name is a nod to the iconic American 1930s sedan, but also to its tapered torpedo-like shape. With a streamlined, oval shape, this fine writing instrument reinterprets two classic features of the brand’s premium pens: the cut-out filigree technique and the transparency of demonstrator pens. The carbon fiber barrel and cap are perfectly integrated into a galvanized brass structure with transparent resin over the sac, with a flush and seamless design.
